Alternative source of calcium: Mindful Doodles #343

Mindful Doodles #343 –

If you’re lactose intolerant or hate drinking milk, get your calcium from black beans. Its easy. Just wash a handful of black beans, put them in a small pot and measure three cups of water. Boil over a small fire and allow it to simmer until you see the water turning dark (blackish). It means the beans have been thoroughly boiled. Drink the soup. If you want a more complete meal, you can add other vegetables like one carrot, a handful of corn kernels, a small onion, two cloves of garlic, and a small potato. If you’re making this mixed vegetable soup, add a pinch of salt.
