“The neighbors look into our dining room window and they spy on us. We have no privacy.”
Her father hired a window contractor to install blinds to cover the windows. When her potential boyfriend came over, she had privacy because the neighbors couldn’t look behind the blinds. Nobody could see who was inside that apartment’s dining room.
She thought she was being clever but actually, she dug a hole for herself.
The boyfriend was older than her. He looked young with his pudgy face. He used to say he was in his 20s. The young woman thought she was getting a catch. He thought he was getting a catch.
Her parents had this penthouse apartment with fantastic views looking out to the sea. They lived and worked overseas, running their own company. They thought their daughter would be better off living in their homeland. They hired a nanny caretaker cum domestic helper. The boyfriend devised a plan to get rid of the supervisor. The boyfriend thought he was being clever. The young woman thought she was being clever. What was the truth? Who was being clever?
Age can be an advantage or disadvantage. The boyfriend’s age gave him experiences and wisdom. He had his way.
He tricked the young woman. Without a guardian in the house, he tricked the young woman.
He asked her to talk to her parents and recommend a job for him.
The woman decided she could be smart too. When he was asleep, she checked his phone. She read his messages.
He was married with a wife. He was a Romeo scammer.
She asked him calmly, “Why didn’t you tell me you had a wife?”
He said, “That was long ago. We’re living apart now.” He was still trying to wing his way into her heart. It was true. He was living apart from his wife. He was living with her, this woman who was speaking to him now.
