The woman’s shared boundary wall with her semi-detached unit’s neighbor, was thin. She could hear her neighbors talking and they could also hear her unit’s occupants speaking.
She heard that her neighbors were able to purchase their apartment after the couple got their hands on a pile of money. The wife’s dad died and left an inheritance for his daughter.
The shadow that was walking across her living room sometimes disappeared into the boundary wall. Presumably to enter her neighbor’s apartment. The woman put two and two together. She began to guess and assume that the shadow could be a ghost. Her guess was it could be the ghost of her female neighbor’s dad, who had died recently.
Why was he haunting his daughter and son-in-law’s apartment?
Maybe he desired to see their apartment because he wasn’t invited to their house warming party.
Maybe he had unfinished business with his daughter and son-in-law.
How did the old man die? He was in his early 60s. The reader can guess.
