After reading Proverbs Chapter 21, I choose line 10 as my favorite line to meditate on.
“The wicked man craves evil;
his neighbor gets no mercy from him.”
Proverbs Chapter 21: 10
The wicked man or woman craves company to bolster their strength to wreck havoc. I know a neighbor who does this. The civil law says one must not join gangsters/ terrorism/ rioting. The righteous must hold on to wisdom.
LIne 12 says
“The Righteous One takes note of the house of the wicked and brings the wicked to ruin.”
For the previous cases of grievous harm, the defendant who was accused of the acts, had to settle, out of court to avoid further blowup.
There was no change of heart or mind. The evil continue in mischief making. The neighbor who may have been instigated to enjoin in the melee, got no mercy, as the defendant thought of influencing neighbors into becoming participants.
We see that the bible is enduring in its instructions and wisdom. It is relevant in contemporary times. Wisdom is gold and has no expiry date.
