After she was discharged, she rested for a day or two before she returned to her WFH job. She is continuing her life. Her husband and a few other relatives have reached her home, to spend time with her, during this difficult period. Nobody is talking much. Everybody behaves as though they want to move on.

It is assumed he was unaware his wife made her big decision without consulting him. He was a young man and lacked experience, confidence and qualities to play chess with his new wife.
