What is Doggust? It is the August month challenge that happens yearly. Participants create a dog drawing each day in August to practice gesture, fur, and breed variety

@elizardc_arts has created a list of dogs to draw for this Doggust 2026, but we can also not follow the list and draw any dog we desire for August, or draw the same dog, for 31 days in August.
What is Dogust?
Dogust falls on August 1 and it is the default birthday for dogs whose birthdays are unknown. Usually people don’t know the birthdays of abandoned mutts/ mongrels/ street dogs. August 1st is reserved for the birthday of such dogs.
What is a mutt?
It is a dog of mixed breed, or undetermined breed because it has been crossed with a few breeds. Another term to describe a dog from mixed ancestors is mongrel. Yet another is the street dog or common dog.
