Do you think you’re a better person today than a year ago?

This is Helen’s prompt for April 8 2025.

Yes, I think I’m a better person now, today, than a year ago. I learned many new things about myself, how to pray, how to solve my problems, how to persevere when my problems do not go away and I have to endure. I used to feel tormented at intentional abuse, but have grown so accustomed to certain conditions, that I feel it is like normal and I live rough to live it out.

I found that if I keep quiet and endure, my foes do not derive pleasure from being able to gloat over me and they slowly reduce the amounts of abusive behaviors. The sadistic bullies were fortified and gratified when they saw suffering and this sustained their desire to inflict more abuse. Sometimes, the response should be to ignore bullies and stay away from them. I know some people would suggest reporting bullies but this method does not work to eliminate them.

This management of behavior is one example of how I became a better person at handling negative behaviors today, than one. year ago.
