The rattling orb can’t compete with thunder’s roar – the orb had low energy; on many days, it couldn’t make a better manifestation for itself, so it moved about sightless by humans, but it still had the recourse to make its presence known; by rattling objects.
It deeply regretted leaving its human family; now there was none to help them with their tangible needs ……. his family had been his life and in his moment of weakness, he thought they could be freed from his debt if he died, but no, it saw they were still suffering; he failed them not once but twice; now he had unfinished business on earth and this was why he stayed behind.
It wants revenge, retribution, address for its injustice ……. which it intends to extract from its rich enemy; but how?
How it wished it could take over and occupy a body to do its will; then it’ll try to accomplish objectives which were interrupted by the early demise of its human body.
Today is a day when it could muster enough energy to rattle objects; it knew the humans could draw conclusions from its presence; day or night, but in good weather – thunder was always the winning competitor who drowned out its sorrowful noisemaker rattling, so it reserved its energy to rattle objects on quiet days.
So rattle it did – a luggage bag, a plastic bag filled with household things, a box with a dismantled ceiling fan, a box of stationery items and books, a pencil/ pen vertical holder, a sheet of crumpled paper ……. this particular house had no shortage of objects it could rattle ……. even on days when it had very little energy.
