Jonah cancelled dinner when the whale swallowed him up. Crap. He has a dinner appointment with his girlfriend. She’ll never forgive him. She had grumbled that he neglected her and didn’t spend enough time with her. She said she dolled up for him in vain every Saturday night, but he never took her out.
He fished his cell phone from his back pocket. Lucky for him, his pocket took the brunt of the whale’s saliva. The hand phone was dry. searched for his recently dialled numbers and speed dialled his gal. He was apologetic when he spoke to his XX using his cell phone. Lucky for him, the transmitter managed to ping to a telecommunication tower. He got a signal to call.
“Hi, Honey. I’m sorry I have to cancel for dinner.”
The line went dead. She hung up on him.
That’s it. Jonah’s bridge to help is burned.
