I day dream of waves when I listen to the echoes of sea shells. Science explains this phenomenon as the sound of air bouncing along the hard curvatures of the inner surfaces of the shell. I used to be able to collect them while walking on sandy beaches. After my local community had a population increase in the past 25 years, more beach combers scavenged all good shells as soon as the tide brought them in.
The old sea shells in my former home were given away to young ones who desired the novelty item. I half wish I had kept at least one sea shell.
