What does the cat know?
The cat sits on the grass knoll, on the kerb by the road. It is early afternoon and it is freshly awake from its morning nap. Its stomach has been fed with leftovers of rice and fish. It is content as it observes the comings and goings of people into the house. It smells a scent which captivates its olfactory bulb in its brain. It is an elusive smell that is emitted once in a life time.
The owner’s son backed his big vehicle into the driveway. He wants privacy to load his cargo. His vehicle in the driveway would be partially sheltered by the garden wall, from any neighbors’ prying eyes.
Visitors for this family drive to park along the street. They leave their cars and walk past the cat on the grass kerb, and file into the house. Soon, the driver opens his boot, which permits access to the main carriage of the vehicle. Several people come out of the house, carrying a horizontal load into the carriage, and close the door. The vehicle is ready to be driven off. It moves slowly, gingerly, carrying its cargo.
The visitors walk out of the house to return to their vehicles.
The cat is still sitting on the grass knoll, on the kerb by the road. What does the cat know? The cat knows what is happening. Do you?
