4. We found a pumpkin, lost in the overgrown patch of plants. Nobody knows how long it has been sitting there. We cut it open to harvest its seeds.

Flowers, birds, and berries even in winter, those are very thankful things.
They’re the cheerful landscape. The berries are imported fruit. 🙂

Going straight to #5, Cai. Pineberries sound delicious! And dry weather makes going out way more enjoyable. What a pleasant discovery that lay hidden for so long – gem of a find.
#7 – I don’t know of this work until now, but Wikipedia says “The novel has been credited for helping define modern American fiction” and as a teenager in the ’70s, perhaps I should read this too…
