I’m meditating on which are my Ten Things of Thankfulness, ie TToT.

Here they are –

  1. I went to a giant furniture store to buy a small sideboard cabinet. It was out-of-stock at the branch nearest to my neighborhood, so I had to physically enter another store in another area, to buy the piece, make payment, and pay for delivery and assembly. I’ve been waiting for a year and half to slowly put the interior together. This is surely a thanks, to be able to get into the mode for buying. I had not been to that outlet of the furniture store for many years; maybe like more than 5 years. What a treat. After that was settled, I walked to the nearest mall, just out the furniture store, to buy groceries.
  2. A thanks for nailing two errands in one go. I don’t need to make a separate trip for the eatables.
  3. It was pouring by the time I completed green grocery shopping. I managed to get a cab to pick me up from my location. Some years ago, taxi drivers were so choosy that there would be no drivers willing to pick up passengers in many locations.
  4. I received some help shifting my boxes in my spare space for stacking seldom used stuff. I sifted through some boxes and got reminded where I keep my stuff. This is good.
  5. I cleared a whole lot of appliances with metal parts when a collector came by to ask for scrap metals. The private collector benefitted instead of the official recycling company. I was glad for him. My opinion is that it maybe better to help an individual instead of a company who does not need to benefit from some donated scrap.

6. Thanks to someone in my family, who helped me choose a few sticks of chairs, cabinets… for staging.

7. Gratitude to the ones who’re helping me fix the small pieces in the bigger scheme of things.

8. So thankful internal painting lasted only 5 days, instead of the projected 15 working days.

9. Thankful we didn’t get a pet yet. So much re-arrangements are going on.

10. Grateful to have family, friends, bloggers and readers around, to wish them MERRY CHRISTMAS.
