I’ve been reflecting and meditating on my thanks for this first week of September 2025.
Floppy flowers are in. They are the trend in my neighborhood. It was the landscape contractor’s idea. Thanks for the large flowers.

We’re visiting a large store that specializes in cloth, sewing accessories, and soft, interior decorations. I write “soft” to differentiate between the hard furnishings like renovations, accessories and furniture.
I’ve met the people who started sewing as a hobby, only to have that balloon into a life changing path. Even the balloons can lift you up, from your castles in the air, into the far horizon. Barthélemy Thimonnier, a French tailor, was credited for being the first man to invent a usable sewing machine, in 1829. Now, 196 years later, I’m among those who say thanks for Monsieur Thimonnier’s invention.
Many bloggers have used the same principle for opportunities to spin off into better personal projects. Those are stories for other days.
I’m recycling rain water and saving on my water bill.
Thanks for flowers, sewing, recycling, …
This blog prompt, Ten Things of Thankfulness, is an arbitrary count of 10. You can write any number of thanks – just 1, 10 or 11. Who keeps count?
One last thanks to the hosts who are working hard to boost blogs’ cyber ranking by ten-fold.
How to increase visits to your blog post, improve DA and SEO:
- Try to include at least 1 photo in your post.
- It works in your interest to include at least one RELEVANT LINK from your collection of old posts.
- Spread some love by reading and commenting on fellow bloggers and receive the like in reciprocal.
- Bloggers who are intelligent avoid link dumping for self-promotion. Fellow bloggers understand and prefer number (3).
- Bloggers are natural busybodies and love to read comments, which show up in blog feeds. New, curious readers will desire to jump in and join the medley. So comment away.
- Thank you.

I second your thanks to Barthélemy Thimonnier – we have a sewing machine bought for my partner when she went through a quilting spell but now used more by me to repair clothes and make the odd project…

I liked the the conversation first half and the beneficial informational second part*
*in the form of a list…ever one loves a list
have a good week
I agree with Clark — I like the multi-layered subjects in your TToT this week. Love your flowers, too. Very pretty. Wishing you a lovely week.
I enjoyed you post!
A delightful list of both thankful things and useful things, and I’m always thankful for useful things.
