Meditate on this while brushing your teeth

What can you meditate on when you brush your teeth? You can give thanks to them for serving you well. Teeth cut food into small pieces for the first stage of digestion. Teeth are precious. Can you imagine the inconvenience and disadvantages if you lacked teeth and had to use dentures? You can never chew food properly with dentures. If you have more money to spend on implants, that would be better than dentures. Still, they come with some disadvantages too. We must take care of our teeth before they are lost through decay or breakage.

We can meditate while brushing our teeth. I know many of us are rushed in the morning, when we have to prepare to go out, or start our responsibilities. Being mindful, concentrating, and meditating during teeth brushing is like a type of multi-tasking.

We start meditating by focusing on our actions. The act of squeezing toothpaste onto a tooth brush starts our meditation into the moment. We move our arm and hand methodically to brush teeth. We feel the tooth brush against our teeth. The brush also touches our gums. the minty taste of toothpaste can invigorate our sensations in the mouth and tongue. Refreshing mint helps us to wake up, to be alert. After you rinse your mouth, smile at yourself in the mirror. It has been said that if you smile often, you’ll believe you’re happy. This helps you to start your day feeling positive.
