Make Your Own Art To Meditate On

You can make your own art to meditate on, even if you’re not a professional artist. You can use methods like

Cats faces made from water color/ dyes ink blots.

1. Dropping ink blots of different paint colors onto paper.

The cat below was made by dropping black ink on paper, then blowing the ink in at least 2 different directions, to form the snout and lower jaw of the cat.

2. Drop paint blots onto the center of a folded paper, fold the sheet down and then open it.

3. Collect flowers, leaves, or stalks of flowers with their leaves and preserve them by the pressing method. The picture below shows a stalk of dried leaves preserved by pressing the stalk between 2 shoots of newspaper, and then weighing it down with heavy books. After a few weeks, and checking, I saw the stalk was ready for use in the mixed media composition.

You may need some experience before you can get good results.

We are narcissists who love to admire our own works. Imagine the amount of pleasure that can be derived by looking at our own art works.
