Maggie, Nina and Jon are characters in What Lies Between Us, a book authored by John Marrs.
Maggie discovers her daughter Nina is pregnant and she slips crushed abortion pills into Nina’s food and successfully carried out the abortion.
Erica, Saffron’s mother, reveals to Maggie that Nina has lied about sleepovers in their house. Maggie decides to find out what has been happening.
Maggie follows Nina out one night and catches her entering and leaving a pub with Jon Hunter, the singer of The Hunters.
Maggie met Jon privately, to persuade him to leave NIna, but he refuses. Instead, he turns the table on her, by threatening to poison Nina’s mind, and make her leave home. Maggie backs away, admitting defeat.
Nina becomes pregnant a second time and Maggie doesn’t see it until it is too late. Nina gives birth to a son.
Maggie plots to defeat Jon. She staged a scene when she had the opportunity to trap Jon. He is arrested and jailed for a crime. Thus, he is no longer available for Nina.
