Dreaming of hometown and past self although presently living in new home

Have you ever been dreaming of hometown and past self although presently living in new home?

A man saddled with obesity has been battling nightmares and dreams of his early days in his former hometown. He had been dreaming the same themes for at least 5 months. The difference between his present self in his new, adopted homeland, and his old hometown, is his weight. Since living in his own residence, he had freedom to eat as much as gluttony desired. His body and brain tried to tell him how slim and healthy he was back in his hometown, as compared to his present state.

Eventually, he fell sick. Overeating triggered diabetes and at least one infection.

This is an example of how the sickly body tries to send messages to the brain.
