Mindful Doodles #190
She’s like the matchstick girl who sat outside. This young woman is a domestic helper who works in a rich man’s house. She is given her own dining table, placed outside the boundary wall of the house, but still within the house’s compound. She reminds me of the fairy tale The Little Match Girl, written by Hans Christian Andersen.

Meditation on Equality
We were born the same, but into families of different social class. Our personal backgrounds are different because our ancestors had different fortunes making their economic classes. We are humans striving to be the best we can be, as we are psychologically tuned to accomplish our best. If we make art, we shall be the best artist we can become. Whatever field we choose to excel in, we may not earn the same amount of money as the field with the best earning potential.
Does that imply the lower wage earner is not of the same status as the higher wage earner? Sadly, yes. By virtue of socio-economic class, the poor can’t afford to be on the same level as the rich. At least, they should have their own facilities and amenities to live their life with respect and dignity.
