After reading through Proverbs Chapter 3, I chose my favorite verse to be line 3,
“Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck,write them on the tablet of your heart.”
Somebody rejected me because I am a Christian and he was not. He actually pointed out that because of my faith and religion, he declined to have anything to do with me. I only had to waste a few seconds to think over his conditional rejection, which I knew wasn’t even conditional. I knew it was an outright rejection, reframed to place blame on my religion, for making myself unacceptable. I declined to discuss. I thought my faith was more important to me than any casual wannabe friend who laid down conditions.
I was correct to remain steadfast loyal to my God. That man turned out to be unworthy of consideration.
