Meditating on Ten Things of Thankfulness Nov 3 – 6 2025

Here I am again, meditating on Ten Things of Thankfulness, (TToT), for my week Nov 3 to 6, 2025.

  1. Thanksgiving for seeing a kiddie costume parade.
All Saints' Day Nov 1
All Saints’ Day Nov 1

All Saints’ Day Nov 1 2025, is an annual celebration.

This year, many children from the church participated in a costume masquerade, dressed in a canonised saint or angel of their choice. There were quite a few who chose the same costumes, maybe that was what their parents could get hold of, for them.

Costumes:

  1. Saint Anthony of Padua
  2. St. Jude
  3. St. John the Baptist
  4. Angel Gabriel
  5. St. Mother Teresa of Calcatta
  6. St. Therese of Lisieux
  7. Mother Mary
  8. Pope
  9. Cardinal
  10. St. Francis of Assisi
  11. St. Rose of Lima
  12. and etc.

2. Thanks for all the convenience stores at petrol stations. These are good for last minute shopping for dry groceries. I ran short of biscuits and snacks and had to stop by by the station to purchase a bag of snacks for the pantry.

3. The new bus-stops along the new road are operational. We can now take a bus down to church, instead of walking for 15 minutes. Its so good especially when it is raining and even an umbrella can’t shelter us from heavy rain.

4. This is the week we visit somewhere farther away to buy medicinal herbs. We get to see another neighborhood.

5. We went to a sewing machine shop. The staff sew and sell the store’s brand of clothes. Other stuff sold are sewing machines, machine accessories, and related goods. Some machine models were manual, operated by a hand rotated wheel, or foot paddle. A variety of hem interlocking machines offered 3 spools or 4 spools for the patterned interlocking. Of course, the cost of machine increases with the complexity of function. I’m thankful to see those machines. It was like a walk down memory lane. I recall my elderly relatives using them in their younger days.

6. I’m thankful for our bloggers in this TToT blog hop. We’re sharing another common interest, which is the #AtoZChallenge 2026, which traditionally starts in April. The host’s blog which announces details is here https://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/. Presently, there are 3 bloggers who have personally committed to this challenge. You know who you are. If you have never commented on joining this Challenge in 2026, it means you can be number 4, number 5 and etc. Once the ball starts rolling, it gathers momentum and more bloggers will join this small group from TToT.

I noticed a few bloggers have left TToT. Maybe these didn’t check web traffic. The number of comments received does not equate to readers and will never be equivalent because most visitors shy away from typing remarks. Some visitors are only readers and may not even have an account to fill the form in order to comment. These folks may not know how to circumnavigate the formality of filling up the form. This paragraph is intended to encourage bloggers to stick to the mill and continue to churn out TToT posts. Your posts are online to collect clicks for eternity. Thank you everybody, for your support.

7. I’m grateful to the higher powers for intervention to enable me and everyone else in my tiny corner of the universe, to be at functional level.

8. Thanks for the rain.

9. Thanks for the reminder to prune some skinny trees outside my wall. A pedestrian reported he couldn’t see the vehicles on the road for the trees and he could have been run over on the one direction-one way road.

10. Thanks for a good week.
