We had been staying in our new old home for a fortnight with our two terrapins when they died one morning. This is the longer story of my terrapins.
My terrapins lived in a large, open container in the front, gated driveway. They were safe from harm. Unless someone threw poison into their container.
On that fateful morning, my family and I were talking about the sudden passing of our two reptiles simultaneously. My neighbor from across the street heard us and said loudly, “I didn’t kill your terrapins. That was not me who did that”.
He said that because he knew he was under suspicion for causing trouble. He had been talking loudly and sending negative energy waves in the early hours of the mornings to disturb us two neighboring units on the opposite side of the street. He had asked for money in return for quiet.
The amphibians died on Saturday morning and I couldn’t find a vet to accept them for their autopsies. By the time I sent them in, they had decomposed. After around 2 months, their autopsies returned with inconclusive findings. Nothing was found that could have caused their deaths. That somewhat fitted my neighbor’s claim that he didn’t kill my terrapins.
It could have been old age, hard water from the tap or those negative energy waves.
This is them when they were younger.

This was taken when they were around 7 – 8 years old.

RIP. May you two find happiness over the rainbow bridge.
