During my second year of doing my Psy.D, I was struggling with writing my thesis. After one straight year of at least FOUR drafts and TWO mentors, I threw in the towel. Then one night, I had a dream. A woman came to speak to me. She said I would pass my thesis.
After I awoke, I was incredulous. I was at a standstill in my pursuit of a doctorate. I didn’t believe in my dream.
Then my Dean took over the supervision of my thesis. He pointed out several mistakes and gave me a timeline to complete my thesis. A date was set for my Oral Defence. Then came the two week wait for the outcome.
“Congratulations” said the anticipated email.
My dream came true. This is one of the rare examples of dreaming of something that actually happened.
