The Most Humid Place I’ve Ever Visited
It has got be India. In the middle of India, there’s a state called Chhattisgargh. It experiences the southwest monsoon every year, from late April to September. The moisture in the air is so dense that it rains cats and dogs every day. Regardless of your status, be you a student, worker or homebody, you’ll feel miserable during this rainy season. No ordinary umbrella is sufficiently broad to shelter you from the torrents of rain. You need to wear a full length rain coat and boots.
If you’re going some place that disallows boots, then you’ll have to spoil one set of footwear as the rain pelts on it. Bring your proper shoes in a bag and change into your dry footwear indoors at your destination. Do the reverse change if it is still raining when you wish to travel out again.
You need a separate bag to place your raincoat when you don’t need to wear it indoors at your destination. You can’t dump your raincoat and wet footwear together into one bag. There will be mud and smell clinging onto your footwear.
Rain is inconvenient.
