Mindful Doodles #176
I was in a public library one afternoon. I looked for a chair to sit in the reading areas. There was an unwritten code of conduct that when the majority of seats are occupied by men, a woman should not sit in their circle. At least one man in the group might feel uncomfortable. And so there was this man who looked annoyed when I sat down on a seat. To his credit, he tried to concentrate on his smartphone. he couldn’t. He tried to shift his posture slightly. Still, it was of no help to him. He really felt uncomfortable. After a long while, he gave up and picked up all his things and left.
I never made that mistake again.
