What does shift mean to me?

Sometimes I watch the clouds as they drift across the sky. Their shapes shift as they float and disperse, or at other times, condense to look thicker. I notice that shapeshifter clouds are most active at daybreak, or when it is windy. Below are some shapes I drew. Starting from the top row center, it looks like a giraffe with its long neck. Going around clockwise, the next looks like a bird in mid-flight. Below it, the cloud has shifted to look like a heart with a small dent. The next is a hippopotamus. Then three people walk along. The last shape is a fat old woman with a hunchback, holding an umbrella. These folks are probably hurrying along to clock in their shift.

Clouds as creatures.

  1. Thank you for taking part of the word challenge! I love your take on shift and I can totally relate to your changes with clouds. I always love seeing the different shapes and how they change.
