The question is Helen’s prompt for May 11 2025. My answer is to prepare for my work.
I have to do research and homework to prepare new projects for the next week. This prep work will ease the way. For the kind of work, like promotion and marketing, that depends on external conditions like the economy, customer preference, credibility, reputation, competitive pricing and some personal preferences, making sales is a complex process.
For creative work, the preparations are different. Some writers and artists advise to start a page or project. Once you have something started, it is easier to continue it when you return to the work. It is very tough to start on a blank page. It also helps to jot down ideas when they come to you. Don’t worry about how to fit your ideas into the grand scheme of things. You can write or draw out your ideas chapter by chapter, or stage by stage. Later, you can think of how to connect the chapters and make the story flow smoothly. If you’re drawing, then this makes it easier for you when you want to fill in with paints. These are my ideas on how to prepare for my next week and I do this at the end of every week. Otherwise, I’ll face a blank page and start from scratch at the begining of my week.
