Sketch Your World by Kimiko Sekimoto: book review

Sketch Your World by Kimiko Sekimoto is a beginner’s guide to sketch journaling. Kimiko explains she like to focus on a spot which is a part of the big picture. She picks out the special feature which holds more meaning to her. A big picture may get lost in translation as memories become blur in time. Concentrating on specifics is likely to hold more meaning.

Kimiko shows how to draw basic lines for objects, and add more lines to define the shape and character of the object. She tells us to draw everybody and everything. Because those are in your world. You journal by drawing instead of writing. She explains how to add color to accentuate the drawings.

I enjoyed this book.
