The Old Woman and her male assistant used to tease their next door female neighbor with insomnia. They prevented her from sleeping as soon as she lay down on her bed at her bedtime. They used their bedroom next door to the neighbor’s, to eavesdrop and hear what was going on in the female neighbor’s house.
The Old Woman loved to deny sleep to her female neighbor. Her helper used to say, “I think this is enough. Let’s stop and leave her alone.”
The Old Woman took delight in saying, “No, it is not enough. Let us continue further.”
He was a paid worker and he obeyed his boss.
After another 15 minutes or so, this young man would again make a show of asking his boss, “Let’s stop disturbing the woman now.”
The Old Woman would have none of it. “No, let’s continue. I want her to beg for mercy. I want her to pay the ransom for my son.”
The worker said, “She is used to insomnia. She will not bend.”
The Old Woman said, “No, she may not be able to withstand the torture. She may break. She may give money to pay the ransom for my son.”
The Old Woman used her age and economic dominance to play the dominatrix to bully with sadism.
The female neighbor could hear their voices taunting her. She prayed. she prayed hard. She prayed silently. In her mind, she said:
“God, the people with cars and money, are torturing me. The cars are XXX 1234 and XXX 6789. They are using their wealth and power status as leverage to discriminate against me. I have nothing to do with them. Please help me.”
She was silent but her mental thoughts were heard. Another neighbor across the street started talking. “She’s putting a curse on your son. His car may be caught in the threshold of death.”
The Old Woman scoffed at their cowardice. “What nonsense you say. How did you all overhear what that woman said? I think you’re telling a lie. You want to frighten me.”
Her helper said, “I don’t think they are telling lies. They possess magic. They have superhuman hearing. They also have ESP. They know information which is normally unavailable to nomal humans. They have heard and that is why they can tell us the information.”
The Old Woman said, “How do they come to own such super powers?”
Her young man helper said, “They know. We have seen their knowledge is quite accurate. We are not their equals.”
Old Woman, “Does that woman really know how to cast a magic spell? Are we in danger when we use our cars?”
Young Man: “I believe our woman neighbor knows how to hex our cars. I already warned you not to antagonize her by fighting with her. She is not one to be messed with.”
Old Woman: “We don’t have anyone to play with. We need to use somebody as an example of our powers.”
Young Man, “That method can no longer work with our female neighbor. She shows resistance. She has moved beyond the stage of fear. She isn’t afraid of us. She has more mysterious power than us. She will not bend her knee to us.”
Old Woman, “Our neighbor is our only hope to save us from harassment. She was sent here to save us.”
Young man, “She does not think that she can be our saver. She wants to save her own skin. She will be attacked if she interferes to help us.”
Old Woman, “I don’t care. I want to torture her to manipulate her. I want to use her to fight with the other neighbor.”
Young Man, “If you irritate her by making her sleepless, she will curse our cars and we may face harm and injury.”
Old Woman, “Do you think she can really do that?”
Young Man: “The other neighbors have heard her talking about harming our cars. I think she can really do that. Our people have died because of what we did.”
Old Woman: “No, she did not harm them. They died because they were old and sickly.”
Young Man: “They were not that old.”
Old Woman: “I feel scared that my son may get harmed because that woman neighbor can do spells.”
Young Man: ” We should not have always bullied her and made enemies with her.”
Old Woman: “I’m rich. I have money to do all the things in the world.”
