Meditation to nurture kindness to yourself

I guess many of us have sat in an airplane before. How many times have we watched and listened to the air steward or stewardess performing the demo on safety? The number one rule is you must take care of yourself before you can attend to another person. Its because if you’re knocked out, then you’re incapacitated and that makes two persons who need help.

In everyday life, we must take care of ourselves first, before we can tend to another person. If you’re running on empty, you have nothing to give away to another person.

You must be kind to yourself, before you have the energy, compassion and generosity to be kind to others.

Do you like the way you look? Do you think you should lose weight, undergo cosmetic surgery, change your job, earn more money, or make a change about something?

Do you think you have any problems of lacking self-esteem, self-confidence, self-compassion, kindness towards yourself, or self-love? These could be factors that cause you to think that you want changes, before you’re happy with yourself.

What’s wrong with loving yourself the way you are right now? You need to accept yourself the way you are. You can still pledge to change, in the manner you desire, but you need to love yourself always, no matter who you are, and what you are. By doing so, you are being kind towards yourself. You practice self-love and self-care. You’ll become stronger and walk in the direction you desire. You can improve yourself, change yourself and try to become the best edition of yourself.
