Muddy Moggy got dirty when it wallowed in mud. That’s why it needed a bath. This is the backstory of the cartoon.
Meditate on “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”
Cleanliness does not mean cleanliness from being dirty. This is a metaphor. It also means being clean from sins which are:
- Pride
- Being greedy
- Killing
- Being lazy
- Doing harm
- Being a false witness
- Jealousy.
Based on these sins, and applying these principles to pet maintenance, I would think that I can not be too lazy to bath a pet.
