I saw these images in my mind’s eye when I read about Sonia and Sunny in the book pictured below.

Small, silver jewelry box engraved with clouds swirling around dragons. (Desai, p. 21) It is used to keep a talisman of Badal Baba. Sonia’s grandfather, Siegfried, painted the picture.

Below is a better picture of what could have been the design on the jewelry box; clouds swirling around dragons.

The snowbird flew low over the steps leading up the library and this action scattered snow over the steps. (p. 22)
And Sonia meets Ilan, some 32 years older than her. He has a face like a greyhound. (p. 22)
This is a sample pic and is no way related to Ilan. I chose this pic because he wore winter wear and also his face is a bit like a greyhound’s.

Ilan read “The Letters of Vincent van Gogh” in the library where Sonia worked. (Desai, p. 23)

Ilan shared his clementine with Sonia. Nothing says seduction like feeding your woman. (p. 24)

Ilan drives a mustard (yellow) color car. (p. 27)
As fate has it for Sonia, her friend Marie found a mustard/ yellow/ curry color coat for her in a donation drive box. Marie told Sonia that color works for her. She was correct as Ilan too complimented Sonia for her coat. (p. 27)

This post will be continued soon.
