I saw Salvador Dali

in a gallery showing his etchings, watercolors and Aubusson Tapestry. Dali knew the feminine form attracts and he unabashedly used it. Dali lived from 1904, until 1989, but his works are immortal.

The gallery’s art salesperson gave us a tour. The curator of the collections on road show, was also present.

I saw Dali in these collections:

  1. A collection Dali etched after World War II. Drawings of iconic representations depicted the raw war and its aftermath.
  2. A collection inspired by photos taken in India. Dali was fixated by the extraordinary sights.
  3. A collection motivated by his muse, who was Gala, his beloved wife.
  4. More than one collection on women in various activities in life.
  5. An imprint of an octopus, anthropomorphised with a human head.

6. Posterior view of Gala, drawn by etched paint lines on tapestry cloth.

7. Plates with etchings of women’s portraits, in gold colored paint.

There is an art to suit every budget. It depends on how much you’re willing to spend. I have never collected art so I can’t write about this.

Be warned that when you visit any art fair, gallery, or non-learning studio, you may be encouraged to buy one or two pieces.

I can’t reproduce images of these art here but you can see them when you google online.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience viewing the art gallery.
