Helen asks this question “What is a pet peeve that peeved you recently?” in her June 9 2025 prompt.
Right now, my answer is induced insomnia. I hate neighbors who talk at bedtime, after midnight, in the wee hours of the morning and prevent other neighbors from falling asleep. Can you imagine being prevented from dropping off to sleep, from bedtime until the next day morning?
I always feel sleepy without sleep for 24 hours. I tend to doze off in my afternoon.
The neighbors who talk the whole night don’t sleep themselves either. Some of this type of people don’t sleep during their day either. They behave as if they are a variant of Dracula’s species; except they don’t sleep in coffins during the day OR night.
Those people were born human, but have practiced other cultures, to change their civilized traits. They may have struck deals with other forces.
