This week’s Ten Things of Thanksgiving

(1) The joy of keeping spare parts means we don’t need to dash out to buy the odd damaged part for a shower hose.

(2) Thanks for the rare service center who can repair electric products on the spot and make it possible for the customer to collect after one hour.

(3) Grateful for the capacity to combine errands and get two errands done in one trip.

(4) The weather encouraged us to make a circum-navigation, to avoid going out under the unfriendly weather. We prayed in a different church. I had the rare opportunity to buy the Bible readings guide for 2027.

(5) Good to have economy stores selling imported products at throwaway prices.

(6) Thank you for intuitive bloggers who graciously came to the aid of others in need of the boosts in morale, and support.

(7) Thank you for sharing the idea of living in an upside-down house. I had mooted this idea, a long time ago, to my family once in a while, but one member objected VEHEMENTLY. Besides Andrew blogging about it, I have read about this concept from newspaper articles. My logic was that since we could only afford semi-detached apartment or semi-D house, we had no privacy from our next door neighbors. Our living room was next to theirs. Our bedrooms were next to theirs. Our unit was the mirror image of theirs, separated by a thin boundary wall.

I wanted to reverse the living arrangements of the rooms so that we would not be beside them during the day and night. That is, make our ground floor as our night sleeping quarters. The neighbors would be using their second level for sleeping so we would have privacy on the ground/ street level floor. When they’re on the ground floor/ street level during the day, we can be on our second level’s living room, dining room, study room, working table etc.

Alas! Someone in my family could not be persuaded!

(8) Sharing this; it flowers often. All 4 varieties of colors are in one pot as the nursery planted them together. There was another pot with 5 varieties but it was snapped up by another customer.

(9) Grateful this was a better week.

(10) Thanks to God, His angels and saints.
