Broken Foot’s update another 2 months later #33

Oct 11 2026

It has been two months since my last X-ray and medical check up on Aug 11. The orthopaedic specialist said I’m healing. He dismissed me from further checkups. He said he would keep my file open for appointments, if I need his help.

I’m still swollen from my toes, running along my dorsum, to my ankle. I don’t feel pain most of the time, except when I flex muscles attached to myself. My owner uses a hot compress, to try to reduce my swelling. It was a cold compress during the first few days of my injury in early July. Now that it has gone beyond that, she did the switcheroo to hot.

My sandal size has been upped 1 to 2 sizes, depending on the design. My swollen dorsum expanded and requires more room to avoid abrasion against the sandal material.

On Thursday, Oct 8, my owner made me walk from one train station to a mall. After she ran her errand, I had to walk back in the opposite direction, from the mall to the train station. I was tired. I started hobbling. I wasn’t sure I would be able to stand in the kitchen to cook dinner that night.

Lucky for my owner, She felt better after reaching home and removing her rubber sandals. The flat floor was cool and comforting. The sandals had a weird, uncomfortable pattern on the sole, which the Body felt when its weight pressed down on the pattern. Broken Foot didn’t like it and was yearning for a change in sandals after its owner bought new ones without a pattern on the sole.

Broken Foot ached the next day after the walk. It was Friday and its owner could sit down to do her sedentary, desk work.
