This question is Helen’s prompt for April 25 2025.
Yes, food delivery is very convenient, for a fee. If I go out to buy from the shop directly, I would have to spend money on transport, spend time traveling to the shop and returning back to my desk or home to eat my food. The worst is using energy and feeling a little tired after the exertion to procure my food. My transport costs would be equal to, or similar to the fee charged by the food delivery service.
I would say that the reason why some people prefer to cook when they’re home, is that they save time traveling out to buy food, and save money on transport. Besides, the cooked meal is always costing more than if we were to cook the food at home.
I believe in hygiene and food safety. Under normal circumstances, when there is no epidermic or pandemic plaguing my city, it would be safe to order from food delivery. However, in any bad time of epidemics, I would prefer to cook my own food at home.
