Things I saw today

I went out today and this is the list of things and events which I saw, as described below. I have written about this event to keep notes for writing poetry and other types of posts.

  1. The sun was out but it wasn’t very hot.
  2. A pinkish-red hue of sports car drove by my street.
  3. The driver stopped right before every hump on the street, and drove over the humps very slowly. He didn’t wish to damage their sports car’s low under-carriage.
  4. My hired ride arrived.
  5. We had a short ride through crowded but smooth flowing traffic.
  6. We reached our destination.
  7. There was a queue of two cars at the tower’s drop off point.
  8. The car in front had a passenger opening their car boot to take out something.
  9. That car eventually drives off.
  10. We disembark from our hired car.
  11. There are people around around the entrance of this tower.
  12. We see people as we walk among them to get to the mall behind this tower.
  13. I see a man taking photos of a couple. He gives instructions on how to pose.
  14. This photographer switches places with the man of the couple. It is his turn to pose for a photograph.
  15. We walk past many people in the open air space between the previous office tower and the mall we are walking to.
  16. We have reached our mall.
  17. We walk towards the escalators and ride them to the 5th level. Our destination is way up.
  18. There are always people riding the escalators. There are riders in front of us, and riders behind us.
  19. We see fleetingly, window displays of shops.
  20. We reached our desired venue.
  21. There are no other customers around.
  22. I look at the time displayed on my cell phone.
  23. We are just in time, which means the trailers have started and the patrons have entered the theater hall.
  24. We walk to a ticket machine to print our pre-booked tickets.
  25. The machine printed discount vouchers to buy food. That was the incentive for patrons to buy tickets from this particular theater chain. I wrote about poor and almost no food available at another theater here.
  26. We saw nobody in the queue to buy food. That’s because the eraly birds have gone into the theater.
  27. The food seller at the cash register warns us we have to wait 5 to 7 minutes for chicken nuggets because that’s the cooking time.
  28. We nod agreeably. No problem to wait.
  29. We walk a few steps to the food collection area.
  30. A female staff carries a portable vacuum cleaner and walks towards our position.
  31. The woman uses the vacuum to suck up fallen popcorn.
  32. She says “Sorry” for vacuuming around our feet.
  33. The cleaning lady provided something to watch while we are standing to wait to collect our ordered food.
  34. The food seller comes out of their kitchen carrying two boxes of chicken nuggets.
  35. “Please wait two minutes for your wedges,” she says.
  36. Two minutes are gone like time flies. The seller walks to our waiting counter, carrying a box of potato wedges.
  37. My companion says, “There is still a bottle of tea which I bought in my order.”
  38. The seller walks away, to the chiller.
  39. She fetches a bottle.
  40. She walks back to us to hand over the bottle.
  41. I ask for a bag to put my paper box of popcorn into because I didn’t want any to spill.
  42. We show our tickets to the ticket inspector at the entrance of the hall way.
  43. She holds her scanner to scan in the codes on our tickets.
  44. She says, “Enjoy your movie.”
  45. We walk to our theater hall.
  46. It is dark in this theater, as the trailers have started being screened.
  47. We find our seats as this is a very small theater.
  48. We sit down, clean our hands with sanitizer.
  49. We are ready to eat our food.
  50. A funny trailer is playing.
  51. It is a spin-off from the old Star Wars movies.
  52. Another trailer featuring a supergirl plays.
  53. The start of our movie flashes on the screen.
  54. The Devil Wears Prada 2” (I wrote a short review of the experience at the link)
  55. We eat and enjoy our chicken nuggets, potato wedges and popcorn.
  56. The plot affirms what we already know about the publishing industry, journalism, and fashion industry.
  57. The movie is over.
  58. We pick up our empty food boxes and paper bag.
  59. We get up from our seats and walk to the exit.
  60. We take some second to remember which direction. is the way out.

THIS LIST WILL BE CONTINUED SOON.
