Write poetry for Ten Things of Thankfulness (Mar 12 -17 2026)

Flowers
Flowers.

Write any poetry that talks about 10 things you are thankful for, this week.

We’re thankful when things go our way. We’re also thankful to see mis-steps when things are against us, because when there are lousy times, we will feel more gratified, in future, for the good times. Does this make sense?

My acrostic poem expresses my Ten Things for my thanks.

T – for the ten things I’ve taken for granted like a house, food, transport, clothes, shoes, my friends, some work, church, books, drawing. I only started reading recently. Someone in my family passes me books.

E – for everything good I received this week. For foreshadowing to warn of a dark cloud.

N – for nuts; edible nuts, not the nutty kind.

T – for tangerines.

Hhen’s eggs; a quick source of protein.

E - Before, it was an egg. After that, it became an omelette.
E – Before, it was an egg. After that, it became an omelette. With finely diced onions & a pinch of salt.

I – ice lollies; popsicles.

N – for new ideas.

G – for good days..

S – for serenity whenever I need it.

! – gracious bloggers whose kind comments are appreciated.

I love this poetry comic! I may illustrate my haiku with still pics, to make them poetry comics.

  1. loved the acrostic/TToT*

also enjoyed the animated/cartoon/illustrated version of the Annabel Lee

You make a good point in your introduction: “…thankful to see mis-steps when things are against us, because when there are lousy times, we will feel more gratified for the good times.

*one of the things that, imo, has kept people joining in on our weekly celebration of gratitude is that creativity in presentation is valued (rather than conformity to one form)… very cool
