Everybody has heard of Impressionism art in paintings done by Monet, Renoir, Pissarro and etc, but Impressionism fashion?
During the Impressionism years from 1874 to 1886, women’s fashion changed. There were corsets, bodices, and draped overskirts. During the day, women wore airy dresses, adorned by interesting details like lace or ribbons. Women could wear bright, daring colors, or light, pastel tones.
Men today will love Impressionism fashion too.
Men’s fashion also evolved to keep pace with the women. They wore dark colors, cutting dashing figures in well tailored, straight pants. The morning coat, sack/ lounge suit were popular.
For head gear, women wore chokers, hats and bonnets. Men used hats, bowler hats, and canes.
