A man who works as a video editor in Hollywood, had this dream of being made redundant by AI. It was more like his nightmare come true. He dreamed he lost his job because his role was assumed by AI. Artificial Intelligence could choose from hours of video footage to assemble into a rough cut for an episode. The humans who work as video editor, producers and directors will then vet on the product, and give feedback for changes. This man saw dream imagery of himself being called into the producer’s office. He heard his boss tell him to reduce his work week by 2 days. Subsequently, his salary would be cut accordingly. This video editor woke up in a cold sweat.

They want a ban on forcing writers to use AI programs like ChatGPT for outlines and scripts. The workers desire the union to ask for minimum staff and working hours to reduce risks of the workforce being cut to use AI.
