He used to work from nine to five. His drinks from five to five did him in. His partner tossed him out. He used whatever was left in his wallet, to buy more cans form a convenience store. He didn’t want to wake up. When he did, he used his hat to pan handle for money. He looked young enough and able bodied so he didn’t get many pennies. He smelled so he couldn’t attract women. He dried up and became sober. He thought of starting out all over again.
