Mama fish carries a roll of scotch tape in its mouth. She stole it from a fisherman’s boat. She had surfaced to the top of the water and saw the roll of tape sitting on the edge of the boat. Just the perfect thing she needed for her nest. If only she could unroll the tape around her string of eggs. That would keep them secure and not break away during violent swaying of the water. She has to help her babies. Does sticky tape work in water? Her tiny fish brain does not know. Anyhow, she has to try.
