The patient doesn’t understand how a working class person is unable to support a mentally handicapped woman indefinitely. Many patients desire to be “rescued” from the strict regime in the mental health hospital. There are almost no other choices to feed and house dependent patients. Their families have abandoned them because of lack of resources.
