The farmer told his daughter to water the field. The crop was yellowing, in need of water and dying. He wanted the job done before sunset. The teen has to fetch water from the well, and distribute it over one acre of crops. It was already mid-day. She dashed around, trying to be quick on her feet. After several rounds of drawing water and tossing it over the crops with a small scoop, she was exhausted. She feared her father’s rage when he learns of her failure to do his will. She thought of a plan to buy her time. “I’ll complete this task tomorrow. I just need to buy some time.” She searched their garage for that opened can of green paint which her father was saving to paint the barn. She grabbed a paint brush and headed out to the field.
