(1) Thanks for the introduction into narrative essays. I ordered one book of J. Didion.

(2) Gratitude for knowledge gathered through one of the oldest resources of information – the newspapers. They’re still relevant, in spite of public opinion, retributory rebuff (rejection to buy physical copies) and falling circulation statistics.

(3) Thanks for the ability to function even while on patterns of disrupted sleep.

(4) Gratitude for flexibility in time management, to allow me to arrange a few errands together.

(5) Thanks for my old equipment (home projector which downloads from internet) which still works after replacing its remote control. It was a small cost, as compared to the price of the projector. The queue was a short while. Collectors were not made to wait.

(6) Grateful for Advent, the last weeks before Christmas.

(7) Thankful for bloggers sharing their interesting joys and words of encouragement.

(8) Gratitude for a cheaper price for some internal painting works. Another two companies were charging between $2500 and $3500 more than the cheaper option. The walls were defaced due to cracks, mirror’s rubbery dried glue, markings & etc. I almost didn’t get this work assigned due to reluctance from their part.

(9) Grateful for the confidence to move ahead with more preparations for a long term project.

(10) Thanks for everyone visiting here. Now its back to you.

  1. Getting contractor bids can be tough, deciding on which to take even more so!
The highest (and the lowest) are not my favorite when deciding. Unless, they have previously done work and I can judge on the basis of the ‘finished product’.
Grat #3! that’s where the fun is! lol so much to the state of mind between laying one’s head down and rising from the bed*
I find no end of fascination with the state between ‘awake’ and asleep
    have a good week

*not counting lucid dreaming, of course! lol

  2. Thank you for the tip. I’ve had work done before from the lowest bidder. I was trying to venture out away from my regular source. It looks like the salesperson could be earning the large commission.
