- Affirmations Icon: candelabra
My meditative reflections:
I used to follow a writing prompt host who used the icon of a candelabra. He got too busy and suddenly stopped posting prompts.
(1) I can’t think of a December character except Jesus and Santa Claus. When I was a child, I once did write a letter to Santa Claus and enclosed it in an envelope. My dad said he mailed the letter for me but I don’t know if he actually did or threw it away. After I was introduced to Jesus in religion, He has become a steadfast icon in my life.
(2) I don’t have a favorite bird. Maybe a parrot will do as it can speak by repeating what it hears. On the other hand, I have to be careful about what I speak aloud.
(3) I choose peppermint.
(4) I’m bad at crossword puzzles because my general knowledge is poor.
(5) I haven’t really met a stupid toy. A toy should be given to an age appropriate user. Too simple toys will seem stupid to older kids who are bored with them. Adults can still love soft toys, especially in their private moments. The mascots, especially those with funny faces, are comforting when we need solace in the harsh realities of this society.
(6) When I had no choices on clothes selection, I would wear even ugly clothes and sweaters.
(7) Its nice to be able to own affirmations, and maintain them.
You can do your own meditations and blog about them, or write your reflections in your book.
