Meditating on Fanny in A Leopard-Skin Hat by Anne Serre

Anne Serre writes about her protagonist, Fanny, and her other personality, Fanny B. It is the second Fanny who steals a leopard-skin hat. The author invented her character to be troubled, depressed, and lacking in self-love. Fanny does not take care of her physical needs. When she gets drunk, she goes with strangers. Some months before her death, Fanny changes. She takes care of her warmth for her body, but it is too late. Fanny dies when she is 43 years old.

Meditating on Fanny, I get the message that when we don’t take care of our health by leaving cigarettes, alcohol and wearing appropriate clothes, our body suffers. To read more about Fanny and the book, click on the book review link below.
