Mindful Doodles #168

This man works in the customer service industry. He was speaking to his customer on the intercom with a screen. He was clearly seen chewing gum. Is it rude to chew gum while talking face-to-face with your customer?
We need to meditate to reflect. It is easier to think about experiences while they are still fresh in the mind. I would suggest meditation to reflect on the day’s happenings, at every meal time, at lunch and dinner. At lunch, while you eat, think about what has happened in the morning. While the events are still fresh in your mind, you can wander about the insights, oversights and what you can do to improve upon your actions and attitudes.
The man who chews gum while at work can do better if he meditates on his behavior and attitude.
Why meditate during meals and not at the end of the day? It is a long time to wait until the end of the day. You may have forgotten minute details of the events.
When you’re eating and drinking during your meal, you would concentrate on chewing and appreciate your time to be quiet and work on your food. This time can be used to reflect. Some people enjoy talking to whoever is around them, during meals. That is partly because they are stressed and need to talk to reduce their stress, and receive some feedback, to validate their experiences.
You can record your significant events in your diary or journal, for better reference. Write brief sections on Highlights Of The Day and Gratitudes For The Day. This habit will train you to appreciate the good moments and blessings of the day.
