Jung’s anxiety dreams: Memories Dreams Reflections

In Jung’s autobiography entitled “Memories, Dreams Reflections”, he wrote about his anxiety dreams.

Jung’s anxiety dreams:

It was interesting to know how he explained his “sightings” of a capitulated ghost coming out of his mother’s bedroom. His parents were going through a difficult patch during their marriage and had resorted to sleeping in different bedrooms. The young boy was anxious over the state of their union and his anxiety created visual imagery manifestations.

He also dreamed of birds sitting on thick telegraph wires. When his dream vision focused on the wires, they grew thicker and bigger. He thought they were going to wrap themselves around his neck to strangle him. (Jung, p. 32)

The majority of his writings are on memories and reflections.

In another book, Jung has analysed other dreams which he does not claim to be his own.
